I chose the car after comparison with a number of alternatives in its class

The car was delivered on January 5, 2011 as a lease for the next four years.
Now, after more than 10 000 km I can pass my initial findings.

Choice
I chose the car after comparison with a number of alternatives in its class. Briefly: The Passat BlueMotion, the Mazda 6 SB and the Insignia were also candidates. The requirements that I had were: smooth drive, comfortable, quiet and of course value for money (equipment). Mazda 6 and Insignia were required motorisation and options to expensive lease. The Insignia is its higher weight (phew what clumsy) need some more power was my experience. Also, I could not sit properly behind myself (1.97 meters) and the trunk was the smallest of the bunch. The Passat surprised me in terms of lease. Very complete but unfortunately it was still just old model. Anyway, 20% was it attractive .. and unfortunately made a test drive. The engine did not convince me. Due to the extremely long 5th resistance was speeding on not like the highway. Given the fact that I also annually by Appendix abroad (ie mountains) to go is not an option for me this engine.

Avensis Wagon
Dan Avensis. . I find it an upscale appearance in Dark Blue. In the business performance and very well equipped. Reversing camera, auto-dimming mirror, 17 "wheels, navigation, privacy glass, climate control 2 zones, all windows and electric folding mirrors (yes that is not even always standard in this class), everything is there. Said options floated catalog value and lease of some competitors significantly rise.

Driving
Driving is great in this car. With the supplied Pilot Exalto's he drives pretty tight. He is fairly neutral likes me. Not very exciting, but just comfortable and quietly make your mileage. Some people are therefore very pleased ...

Interior
The appearance of the interior is not performed really exciting but tasty non-bullshit. Well I've had a kind of rattle for over 1000 km in the wheelhouse. Only to be told at certain speeds and resonances. However, this is spontaneously disappeared ?! Furthermore, no squeaks, creaks or whatever.

The driving position is for me despite my height excellent. Still enough slack to the roof and ample legroom, should even send toehalen something to me. The lumbar support is delicious. Because the windscreen has moved forward quite far I have in this car more of a sense of space than I had at the test drive eg. The Passat.

The bells I find very beautiful. The navigation system (TNS510) works very well! Tickets were 2010-2011, but already somewhat outdated. Sound system is neutral mention (a compliment). However, he can not really loud distortion-free. The reversing camera is very convenient. Distorted image (wide angle) on the tow bar I have a good reference point. Sensors are not necessary for me besides this camera but I can imagine that if this woman still would like to have ... With the camera

Motor
To drive chosen for the 2.0 D4d. After this test drive proved more than fast enough for my needs. Lovely couple and lovely smooth. Idle and under acceleration hear him anything in the rows on the cruise you only hear your tires and wind. Furthermore, it is very quiet on board. About 2000 rpm at 125 km / h in the 6. On the highway than in the six still ample acceleration to pull even at 140 for overtaking. I'm glad you do not return every turn. Top acceleration time and I have not tested but he should be able to 100 in 10 seconds and then goes up to 200 real mileage. For me plenty.
What should be mentioned is that he is not very fast out of the starting blocks. For 10 seconds you have to accelerate pretty clumsy to me. Anyway, if you want to prove your diesel for the traffic light (so sorry ..) buy probably will not ... Toyota

Consumption
With my driving style (quietly, anticipating) I now drive over the past few months (including the first cold months) average over 1 in 18.5. The last few refueling I sit structurally above the 1 in 19. The tank calculates 19.5 liters per 100 km. The BC standard gives a little too much! to. You do not see much.
If you drive more aggressive / sportier than you will succeed best not above the first to break 15, but do not have ... I drive it everywhere, moreover, the maximum permitted speed. Random values for a car in this class.
For comparison: in my previous 100hp 1.7 CDTI drove about 1:18 average.

Pluses and minuses and measurement
Negative things:
The kind of plastic (some parts) is easily scratched. I take good care of the car but not prevent everything. My previous Astra H was better!

Paint quality is not great. Crushed stone on top of the bonnet and the A-pillar for example .. Tailgating is thereby not really a hobby of mine. Again, the Astra I had little chippings)

Cover flap in luggage is not over conductor. Because the windows behind his dark though I almost never shut.

Out rattle in the wheelhouse.

Service interval 15,000 km

Valuation comfort is very good, advanced performance are just good reliability I kept on well, yet experienced no failures. By (spontaneously, gone) rattle (still) 4 stars.

Kwa costs this seems to me a great car. With the comments that the maintenance interval is 15,000 km, but this does not cost more to me. Consumption is fine.
update after more than a year (37,000 km)

Two innings (yeah interval 15,000 km) and more than a year use the rest I'm still very happy with the car. During the holidays I was very pleased with the rather fine motor. Always enough reserves to cross delicious in the sixth with the tent trailer in France. Also bij120-130 km / h you only notice the meter that there's something behind ... With an average fuel consumption of 1:15 you may otherwise not complain yet.
Consumption I kept beyond all refueling and I get to 1: 18.2 on average for all refueling. (Interestingly, the BC often too pessimistic). This includes the higher consumption in winter and during holiday trips. Sounds neat.
There are actually mentioning any details. The rubble where I previously wrote about continues to get worse, now also on the hood. Pity that the paint is on the soft side.

Nice detail are the coverings / skirts. Twice once the band farmer (with alternating winter) and once the garage .... The post lift came to be with the bars in the sills because the supports which lie behind the skirts. The result was twice (once in two places) a dent and paint damage to the skirts. There should therefore bobbins between so the car is not on the thick parts of the lifting beams. Both times it recovered nicely but you have a few nagging
